This beautiful vintage Balouch rug showcases the distinctive character and storytelling tradition of tribal weaving. The rug features a warm beige field that highlights a striking architectural motif at the centre, resembling a stylised tower or shrine. The design is carefully framed within a soft mihrab-like outline, giving the composition a sense of symmetry and depth.

The central structure is woven in deep brown and charcoal tones with a checkered pattern that adds texture and visual rhythm. At the base of the structure, decorative architectural elements and lattice-like patterns create the impression of a small building or monument, a motif sometimes found in Balouch weavings that reflect symbolic or cultural imagery.

Surrounding the field is a richly detailed border filled with repeating tribal motifs in shades of burgundy, dark brown, ivory, and touches of teal and rust. These geometric floral elements form a strong frame around the central design, emphasising the rug’s tribal aesthetic.

The soft neutral background, combined with earthy tribal colours, gives the rug a warm and timeless appearance. Handwoven wool and gentle age give the piece an authentic vintage patina, highlighting the artistry and individuality typical of Balouch tribal rugs.
