S e c r e t s:Santa is sound asleep in his rocking chair, with a magazine on his lap featuring the top-of-the line 1999 sleigh models. Underneath his rocker is a snoozing reindeer, assorted gifts and books with such titles as \'Tyson The Wimp\' (by Noel Wiggins), \'Nawty Kids\' and \'Tax Avoidance.\' Peter’s mouse is also asleep, amidst the books.\'Nell Doggy Heaven\' is inscribed behind Santa’s head, a reference to The Perry’s dog who died while Peter was carving this piece. \'Lord Lucan\' on the gift tucked beneath Santa’s rocker refers to a celebrated earl who in the 1960’s allegedly murdered his children’s nanny (mistaking her for his wife) and then mysteriously disappeared.
