This interesting cuff bracelet is made from a sheet of tortoiseshell, which was headed and molded into shape. It was decorated with a 14k rose gold decoration at the front, and has a closure with three different slots at the back. GENERAL INFORMATIONSize: The bangle can be worn at 18.5, 20 or 21.5 cm. The bangle is 34 mm wide at the front and tapers down to 15 mm. Weight: 9.10 grams.Age: 19th Century, circa 1860s. Material: Tortoise with a gold plaque that carries a Dutch hallmark for 14k gold, used between 1853 and 1905. Condition: In good antique condition with only minor wear, consistent with age. The middle slot at the back of the bracelet was reinforced with a piece of metal in the past.Please note that the antique box is for display purposes only.
