COSTA RICA #3: Grown at 6,069 feet, this San Roque from Don Cayito’s Quebrada Grande farm earned third place in Costa Rica’s Cup of Excellence competition. The cup opens with brown sugar, cocoa, and hazelnut, followed by bright bergamot, berries, and tropical passion fruit, showcasing generations of family attention from harvest to drying.
GUATEMALA #1: This first-place washed coffee from Bella Elizabeth blends Bourbon, Pache, and Caturra at 5,019 feet. Notes of cinnamon, honey, pear, caramelized sugar, plum, lime, chocolate, hazelnut, and blueberry create a vibrant, layered cup that reflects three generations of Argueta family care and the distinctive terroir.
MEXICO #1: From La Perla’s highland farm at 4,921 feet, this washed Bourbon secured first-place with a remarkable score of 90.79 points. The cup is lively and layered with winey sweetness, caramel, hazelnut, rum, pomelo, and citric brightness, showing elegance and character shaped by the farm’s ravine-bordered microclimate. It marks a new chapter in La Perla’s journey to showcase Veracruz coffee to the world.
