Originally used to store valuables and personal possessions, it is likely that the bottom drawer here would once have been a fixed panel, providing a \'hidden\' section below the middle drawer. The extra deep drawer adds practicality and makes this perfect for storage in a bedroom or living room. Made from poplar wood, the chest has a highly distressed blue and cream lacquer finish, worn to show the more natural wood in places. Each drawer has a single, small ring handle fitted centrally.
