A pair of Sandow armchairs by René Herbst, designed in 1928. Early French Modernism with clear Bauhaus influences. Chrome-plated tubular steel creates a calm, slightly inclined silhouette with a high back and integrated armrests. Black elastic cords stretch the seat, back, and arms into a precise, springy surface. Transparent in construction, comfortable in use. The duo serves as a subtle accent in the living room, studio, or at a desk. Reduced in material, consistent in detail. Proportions: 62.5 x 58 x 95 cm. Seat height: 46 cm.
