Detailed information on MT3 Rocking Chair by Driade
“MT”, the acronym defining this collection designed by Ron Arad, is pronounced “empty” in English, meaning “vacuum”. Emptiness is really the key element of this project. The volume is hollowed out to present the chair\'s interior, finished in different colors. The MT3 Rocking Chair by Driade is made by merging two polymers, a process that takes place in a blast furnace. Once extracted from the mold, a five-axis laser cuts off the lateral ends of the product, revealing the two-tone side of the MT3. It is an extraordinary technical feat that creates an absolutely elegant piece of contemporary design, suited for both indoors and outdoors.
Made in Italy by Driade.

Materials: Rocking chair. Polyethylene monobloc sand is white-colored outside and red or black-colored inside. Indoor/outdoor use.
