【About Chizimi Cotton】・It has a long production history since the Edo period in Takashima City, Shiga-Prefecture, and is made from strongly twisted yarn which provides a sharp and creped touch.・As the crepe texture minimizes the touching surfuce and lets sweats vaporize easily, sensible temperature is said to be minus 2 degrees.・Excellent performances in Sweat absorbing · Quick drying · Air permeability · Hygroscopicity · Moisture release.・Takashima chizimi cotton, which has benefited from the natural resources of Lake Biwa, boasts the highest production in Japan.


The embossed fabric used in this product has elasticity (rate: about 135%), making it easy to move in and comfortable to wear.

Due to emboss processing (an embossing process that gives uneven crepe-like pattern) , the frayed thread may be twisted and popped out. This is not a defect and can be fixed by cutting away the popped threads.

When dyeing Chizimi Cotton, color may not be able to penetrate deeply into the creped part of fabric.

※Care Instructions

【How to wash Kyoto-style Yuzen (hand-printed) products】・Please wash separately at the beginning.・Please put in the laundry net and wash by machine.
・Please avoid hand washing since it has a weak draining power, the dye may dissolve in water and cause transfer or bleeding. ・Do not soak.・Since there is a risk of color transfer, please use a neutral detergent and dry in the shade immediately after washing.・As there may be color transfer, please wash it separately from white or light-colored items.・Please refrain from using an iron to make the best use of the crepe material.・Color transfer may occur due to friction or during wearing.・Due to the nature of the fabric, it has a certain degree of stretchability. Please adjust the garment to its original shape immediately after washing without pulling on the stitches excessively.・Do not tumble dry.
