The MRCOOL DIY 5th Gen E-Star 18,000 BTU Single-Zone Mini-Split Complete System (230 V) delivers powerful, energy-efficient heating and cooling for larger residential spaces from roughly 500 to 750 sq ft. It comes as a full, ready-to-install package with the indoor air handler, outdoor condenser, a 25-ft pre-charged QuickConnect® line set, DIYPRO® cable, and all necessary installation accessories. Designed for homeowners, this system enables DIY installation — no HVAC license, refrigerant handling, or vacuum pumps required.

With its 18,000 BTU capacity for both cooling and heating, the unit is suitable for larger rooms, open-plan living areas, or multiple connected spaces. The inverter-driven rotary compressor and eco-friendly R-454B refrigerant work together to provide efficient, stable climate control while reducing energy consumption. The system is Energy Star certified and offers up to 22.5 SEER2 for cooling efficiency.

Convenience features include control through the handheld remote, the SmartHVAC® app, or voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Additional system functions include a “Follow Me” setting that adjusts temperatures based on the remote’s location, a dry mode for humidity control, and quiet indoor operation with noise levels as low as 19 dB(A).

Built for durability, the outdoor condenser uses a corrosion-resistant Gold Fin® coating that performs well in humid or coastal environments.
