MRCOOL DIY® 5th Generation Single-Zone Mini Split Condenser

The MRCOOL DIY® 5th Generation Single-Zone Mini Split Condenser is a high-efficiency outdoor unit designed to power one dedicated indoor air handler. It serves as the core of a single-room or single-area heating and cooling system and is an ideal replacement option when an existing outdoor unit needs to be swapped without purchasing a complete new system.

This condenser is engineered to work with exactly one compatible indoor unit and will not operate as a multi-zone system. It must be paired with a single MRCOOL DIY® 5th Generation wall-mount, ceiling cassette, or central air handler to function properly.

Built around a variable-speed DC inverter heat pump, the system uses eco-friendly R-454B refrigerant to deliver efficient, consistent comfort while meeting current and upcoming EPA efficiency standards. It is designed for dependable performance in extreme conditions, providing effective heating in cold climates down to -13°F and reliable cooling in outdoor temperatures up to 122°F.

For proper installation, electrical requirements vary by system capacity. Smaller capacity systems operate on standard household voltage, while larger capacities require higher-voltage service. Selecting the correct voltage is critical for safe operation and optimal performance.

To ensure long-term durability, the condenser features Gold Fin® corrosion-resistant coil protection, helping extend service life in harsh or coastal environments. Warranty coverage includes a standard 7-year compressor warranty and 5-year parts warranty, with optional limited lifetime compressor coverage available through enrollment in the MRCOOL Care Program.

This condenser is intended exclusively for MRCOOL DIY® 5th Generation systems and is not compatible with earlier generations. Indoor air handlers and Quick Connect® line sets are sold separately and must be selected to match the condenser and application. The unit ships via LTL freight with curbside delivery.
