The Resort 25 Collection was born from a feeling of renewal. With a collection designed to be worn through the start of a new year, we looked to the zodiac for inspiration. In considering the year ahead, we were struck by a figure that has touched yearly cycles many times over and will be the one to welcome us into 2025 – the snake. 

The snake has always been a widely revered creature with an influence that spans culture and time. In Ancient Greece, the serpent was seen as a healer with deep ties to change and regeneration. In shedding its own skin, the snake begins anew, metamorphosing for whatever comes next. 

Ancient Egypt brought us the ouroboros, a circular symbol depicting a serpent devouring its own tail and showcasing the eternal cycle of destruction and rebirth. The message of a never-ending cycle is deeply universal, but we couldn’t help but read it introspectively as we live and work in a loop of creation, with sartorial offerings born again each and every season. It’s a metamorphosis of craft, design, and style that plays out literally this season, with classic PH5 silhouettes reimagined, yet rooted in responsible sourcing.

The ouroboros expresses both a unity and tension among all things, where the end of any one entity becomes inevitable, but rather than disappearing entirely, it weaves a continuous thread. This season, PH5 sheds its own skin, taking on renewed shape and meaning. Iconic wavy, serpent-like motifs and abstract snake prints ground the collection in both the literal and figurative theme of the season – evolving PH5 classics into something sexier for evening.   

It has recently been discovered that snakes are evolving three times faster than their legged counterparts, something PH5 is looking to do in 2025  as we continue to explore the hybrid of technology and design.
