An utterly delightful antique 9ct gold garnet and pearl lavalier pendant necklace. Dating to the early twentieth century, this fabulous piece features a large openwork pendant measuring approx 60mm in length, making it wonderfully eye-catching when worn. At the top sits a circular-cut pinkish-red garnet, bezel-set, leading down to a vertical trio of delicate seed pearls and a further suspended openwork section with flowing, curved details reminiscent of a quatrefoil. At the centre of the lower section sits a second circular-cut garnet framed by four white seed pearls. The pendant is suspended from a fine 9ct gold trace chain and hangs beautifully, the chain measuring approx. 17\" in length. An incredibly elegant piece not to be missed!
