HOT ! Summer Candle - Christmas Pine

A collaboration of form and fragrance between A&C Homestore and Author Ceramics.

Moments in time are hard to capture – a smell, a feeling, the glow of a fire, or the soundtrack that takes you back to your happy place. Each candle is a reflection of the memories we hold dear. Handcrafted by Author using sand from Aotearoa’s East and West coasts, every vessel is shaped on the potter’s wheel, bent and moved by hand to create soft waves and curves and paired with A&C’s signature scents ‘Christmas Pine’ and Willow’

Each candle is a labour of love. Hand-poured locally in small batches from 100% natural soy wax. Once the candle is finished, you’re left with a beautiful Author ceramic, a piece to reuse and be treasured. Beautifully boxed and in limited numbersChristmas -Fresh Pine

Measures: 350 mL | Approx. Burn Time: 50 hoursComposition:  100% Natural Soy Wax. Ceramic hand thrown on the Potters Wheel: These stunning candles are first formed on the wheel and bent and moved by hand to create the stunning waves and curves and are all one-of-a-kind, each vessel is unique. 

Please note: Minor irregularities are part of hand-pouring 100% soy wax. Always burn on a heat-resistant surface and take care as the wax runs low.

Candle Care:

Always trim your wick to 5mm before lighting your candle.

On the first burn, allow the wax to melt until it reaches the edges of your vessel and there is about a 1cm pool of melted wax before extinguishing. This creates a clean and even burn. 

After use & once the wax has cooled and set, trim your wick to 5mm again before  relighting to avoid \'mushrooming\' of the wick. 

Discontinue use when the wax reaches 10mm from the bottom of your vessel.

Keep candles out of direct sunlight or hot spaces.

Never leave a burning candle unattended
