Detailed information on Colombia- Geisha Lavado

YOINER MOSQUERA — GEISHA LAVADOPalestina, Huila — LaREB Collective

TASTING NOTESJasmine · Blue Jolly Rancher · Anjou Pear

ORIGINPalestina, Huila, ColombiaLaREB CollectiveProducer: Yoiner Mosquera

PROCESSFully Washed

This coffee didn’t come through a polished supply chain. It showed up the way a lot of real things do: through people, conversation, and shared alignment.

We first crossed paths with LaREB during the I Am a Revolutionary art show at our café in 2024. They didn’t walk in as sales reps. They showed up as participants in the same broader project; building culture and networks rooted in struggle against systems that exploit the most vulnerable.

This lot from Yoiner Mosquera is part of that network.

Grown in Southern Huila and processed with a level of precision that lets the varietal speak clearly, this washed Geisha leans bright without losing structure. It’s expressive, but grounded.

In the cup, it opens with jasmine florals and a sharp, almost electric sweetness—think blue Jolly Rancher in the best possible way. That intensity softens into ripe Anjou pear, with a clean, lifted finish that keeps everything moving.

There’s no overbuilt mythology here. No inflated story. Just a producer, a collective, and a chain of people choosing to reject apathy and engage the world, working together outside the dominant systems that usually dictate how coffee moves.
