Beech-Nut Packing Co. began in the 1890s mainly focused on smoked hams and bacon. In the early 1940s,  the company developed a vacuum jar and this manufacturing system allowed them to expand to condiments, canned goods, and perhaps most notably candy when they marged with Life Savers in the mid 1950s. The company eventually sold to a corporation, though the name lives on with the popular baby food brand. This shelf was likely manufactured in the late 1950s. Their iconic displays are a coveted item in the antique world, so if you want a unique item you can also be a little smug about, look no further. Though this shelf is designed for retail, it would make a unique bookshelf or display for your curios. The perfect way to bring history and intrigue into any space.
