Before “tool watch” became part of the collector’s lexicon, Nivada Grenchen was already building the real thing. Founded in 1926 by Jacob Schneider in Grenchen, Switzerland, the brand’s focus was never on flash — it was on function. Reliability, legibility, and innovation defined its ethos, and nowhere is that spirit more evident than in this beauty! 

A lovely 34mm manually-wound piece, this piece has a lovely multi-tone dial with subsidiary seconds display, and dauphine handset. Nivada is a name many collectors have come across, though widespread recognition has yet to catch up. Commonly distributed in the United States under the Croton name to avoid trademark conflicts, the brand was based in Grenchen, Switzerland, with roots reaching back to 1879.
